Horsham District Council is currently reviewing its policy on gambling regulations in the Horsham District and is keen to hear from those with comments.
The council, as the local licensing authority, is undertaking its second three year review to look at its Statement of Gambling Policy, which was last published in 2009.
The Gambling Act 2005 requires all licensing authorities to prepare, consult on and publish a Statement of Gambling Policy every three years, setting out how the authority will manage the licensing of local gambling premises.
The current Statement of Gambling Policy was published on 31 December 2009.
Residents, businesses, licensees and anyone else with an interest in gambling regulations in the Horsham District are asked to send their comments to the council.
Christian Mitchell, chairman of the licensing committee at Horsham District Council, said: “I would urge all interested parties to take the time to send us their views so we can undertake a full and thorough review.”
Any comments should be addressed to the Local Licensing Officer, Mr A M Ramiz, Horsham District Council, Park House, North Street, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 2DJ. Comments can also be emailed to licensing@horsham.gov.uk
The closing date for comments is 30 November 2012.
