Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership has joined forces with Henry Smith, MP for Crawley, UK Trade and Investment, the Gatwick Diamond Initiative and Sussex Enterprise to host a free International Trade business event on Friday December 7.
The event, held at the Arora Hotel, Crawley from 8.30-11.30am, will enable local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and professional advisors to discover the assistance available to those seeking to sell their products and services overseas.
Businesses will hear from a range of experts and gain practical advice from local firms who have already taken the step to trade overseas.
The event is part of a nationwide campaign to help an additional 100,000 businesses export by 2020 and will be of interest to both experienced exporters and those considering overseas trade for the first time.
Steve Allen, board member of the Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “Increasing the level of international trade across the region is one of our top priorities.
“With our partners, we hope to encourage more than 1,000 companies to begin exporting from the Coast to Capital area each year.
“This event will provide essential advice for local businesses who wish to explore the opportunities and rewards of trading overseas.”
