A 16-year-old girl charged with arson following the fire at Millais School in Horsham in March was sentenced on Friday (August 1).
Sussex Police said the girl appeared at Hove Crown Court and was sentenced to a three year supervision order, 240 hours of unpaid work and a nine month curfew order.
Chief inspector Howard Hodges, Horsham district commander, said: “I would like to thank the pupils, staff and wider school for their support during this investigation.”
Hundreds of pupils at the Depot Road school had to be evacuated from the building when the fire broke out on Thursday March 20.
