The life of a ‘loving’ mother and ‘larger than life’ lady is being celebrated nearly five years after she was killed by her husband.
The son of Susan Goswell says the family have only just come to terms with the shocking incident which devastated their lives around Christmas time in 2007.
Roger Goswell, 66, killed Susan, 63, at their West Chiltington home on December 23 before crashing his Smart car into a tree in Monkmead Lane.
He was found badly injured and died at Worthing Hospital.
Police discovered the body of his wife in the living room. She had been stabbed and hit with a blunt object.
The coroner recorded a verdict of unlawful killing during an inquest nearly a year after the double tragedy.
Now, Joe Goswell, 43, the youngest of Susan’s three children, who have all undergone counselling since the deaths, says the time is right to ‘move forwards’ and celebrate the life of his mother at a memorial Christmas ball.
