STORRINGTON Rotary Club members helped some of the village’s senior citizens get into the Christmas spirit at the December pop-in lunch.
A monthly event, the pop-in lunch is organised by Anne Hayes, wife of an ex-Rotarian, and meets on the first Thursday each month at Storrington Village Hall.
The Rotary Club has sponsored and run the Christmas event for many years.
A dedicated team of Rotary wives provide the lunch and other Rotarians help prepare the hall, serve food, and tidy up afterwards.
Over 70 people attended the lunch on December 1 enjoying a glass of sherry and wine with their traditional Christmas lunch.
Entertainment was provided by the children of Windlesham House School, Washington who held a carol concert.
To end the lunch club president Jan Taylor presented Anne Hayes with a Rotary citizenship award in recognition of all the work she does.
