An Ardingly-based businesswoman has made it into the UK’s Top 100 Business Mums of 2012 as Sussex is voted the fifth-best location in the UK for mums to do business.

Harmony At Home Children’s Boutique has two toy stores, one in Ardingly and another in Lindfield.

Childcare entrepreneur and owner of the business Frankie Gray made it in to the nation’s top league of business mums after becoming a MumsClub Business Mum Awards 2012 finalist.

The mum of two, who is about to give birth to her third child, is in the running to win The Mumpreneur’s Champion Award 2012, which will be announced in December. She will now go head-to-head with some of the UK’s most successful and innovative female entrepreneurs throughout the UK.

She said: “There is a real sense of energy in Sussex at the moment and a growing number of women who are not only managing to balance motherhood and business, but excel at it.

“It’s no longer about mums who do lunch but mums who do business and that’s great for women and great for Sussex. Women no longer need to choose between motherhood and their career and I hope my entry into the UK’s Top 100 encourages more mums throughout the county to aim to succeed at both.”
