A Southwater care and mobility showroom launched an open day to showcase the help, advice and products it has to offer.
Nursing Hygiene Group, based in Oakhurst Business Park in Southwater, held the two-day open day at the end of September, with more than 100 people coming through their doors to survey the range of wheelchairs, indestructable furniture, and
They sell equipment to nursing homes throughout the South East, and also provide cleaning and medical products, but they are hoping to raise the profile of the third arm of their business, selling individual equipment to people with physical disabilities.
The main purpose of the open day was to gain awareness in the local community of the new NHG Mobility Showroom.
The modern showroom boasts an extensive range of mobility equipment from scooters to rollators and recliners in addition to a wide range of medical supplies.
Customers were asked to provide feedback on the event, with members of the public praising the staff as friendly kind and caring, warm welcome, hospitality, and knowledge of the product range.
Another said: “It was lovely to visit, we did not know you existed, but will now spread the word.”
They held a sale with 20 per cent off all showroom products and a huge stock clearance, which saw items such as dining chairs sell for as little as £5 and recliner chairs at 80 per cent off retail prices.
Nursing Hygiene Group pride themselves on their philosophy ‘caring about care’ and they believed the open day proved to be just that.
Paul Andrews, showroom manager, said: “The open day was fantastic in generating awareness that the mobility showroom is here for the local community and we can provide all the support and advice you need in addition to a wide range of mobility products.
“Our customers are very important to us and as we offer free customer parking and free delivery and collection services where needed, we hope to see many more visitors through our doors following the success of the event.
“We also plan to have many more events in the future.”
The showroom is open Monday to Thursday from 8am-4.30pm and 8-4pm on Fridays.
