The discovery of fake £20 notes in Horsham town centre yesterday (Thursday September 13) has prompted a police appeal.
Officers urge any businesses who have been handed the worthless currency to contact them immediately.
The crime is known as uttering.
A spokesperson for Horsham police said: “A man has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of possessing fake £20 notes in Horsham.
“We are appealing for anyone else or any businesses who have been approached to contact us on 101 using reference number 0625 13/09/12.”
