HATS were sprinkled with bunnies and eggs for an Easter bonnet competition at the Holy Innocents Playgroup in Southwater.
Infants reception teachers from Castlewood and Southwater Junior school attended the event on Church Lane, to judge the competition on Friday March 30.
Four-year-old Izzy and three-year-old Matthew were crowned the winners and each received a chocolate egg and a book token.
Sharon Dodd, deputy manager, said the children then embarked on an Easter egg hunt around the garden followed by a picnic ‘in the glorious sunshine’ with family and friends.
“The children and parents had worked very hard in making their hats and they all looked wonderful,” Mrs Dodd said.
Also included in the Easter event were a cake stall, a raffle, and lucky dip which raised £143 for the playgroup to buy equipment.
