THIEVES have taken to stealing fuel following the recent rows over petrol strikes, shortages and an increase in price.
One driver stole diesel valued at £113 from Tesco’s petrol station in Broadbridge Heath after ripping a number plate off a car in St Leonards Road, Horsham.
The incident took place on Monday April 2.
Horsham police is now urging the public to report any suspicious behaviour relating to people ‘tampering or hanging around’ parked vehicles across the town.
