A West Chiltington road has been closed for emergency resurfacing work after a road traffic collision this morning (Thursday September 4).
East Street is scheduled to re-open tomorrow evening (Friday September 5).
On Twitter, West Sussex Highways said there had also been a fuel spill on the road.
A spokesperson for West Sussex County Council said: “Following a road traffic accident this morning at East Street, West Chiltington, Sussex Police closed the road.
“Our highways officers have inspected the road today and decided the road was unsafe to re-open.
“The road closure will remain in place until we can carry out emergency resurfacing work.
“We expect the road to be re-opened by tomorrow evening.”
