Upper Beeding business receives Queen’s Award for innovation

An Upper Beeding business was the winner of the 2014 Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation.

7thSense Design, were yesterday presented with the prestigious crystal bowl award at their Sussex head office by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County.

The company operates on an international scale since being founded in 2004. Specialising in creating software and technologies for premium entertainment experiences, the team has worked with some of the most prominent theme parks, museums, science centres and visitor attractions in the world.

After receiving confirmation of the accolade in April this year, the company founders Ian Macpherson and Adam Neale were officially presented with the award in front of a VIP delegation and the company team of staff, friends and family in Upper Beeding.

A tour of the offices on Shoreham Road and technology demonstration zones preceded the presentation.

Guests included Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex Mrs Susan Pyper, the Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex Col. Richard Putnam, the High Sheriff of West Sussex Jonathan Charles Lucas Esq., the Chairman of Horsham District Council Richard O’Connell, the Chief Executive of Horsham District Council Tom Crowley, and the Lieutenancy Officer John Williams.

Company founder and director Adam Neale said: “The event marked a really special day for all of our staff.”
