Police are seeking the driver of a car which failed to stop after causing a collision with two other cars while it was being driven the wrong way on the A24.
At about midday on Thursday March 6 the silver coloured Mercedes, described as having a ‘new’ shape or style, and of Class E or C, was seen driving south down the northbound carriageway of the A24 at Copsale, just north of the Buck Barn crossroads.
As a result, the two northbound cars, a Renault Megane and another Mercedes, collided with each other. Neither driver was hurt and both stopped at the scene but the southbound Mercedes drove on.
PC Danni Dawes of the Sussex Road Policing Unit said: “If you saw what happened or know who the driver of that Mercedes was, please contact us via 101 or email collision,appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 511 of 6/3.”
