Emergency services were called to reports of a smell of burning at a bio mass recycling centre in Warnham yesterday (Tuesday March 4).
Firefighters were called to the scene at Langhurstwood Road at approximately 12.30pm.
A fire detection system was activated in the three-storey building after a strong smell of burning was reported in the first floor plant room.
A search was carried out by the fire services using breathing apparatus and two thermal imaging cameras.
A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to ventilate the building and no fire was found.
Firefighters left the scene shortly after 2pm.
