A TEENAGER is in a ‘critical’ condition after suffering serious injuries in a collision near Ashington on Sunday (February 12).
The Ford KA travelling west on the B2133 near Ashington left the road and collided with a tree at around 3.35pm.
The driver, described as a 17-year-old local girl, was taken to King’s College Hospital in London by air ambulance. There was no-one else in the car at the time of the collision.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and said: “Her condition is described as critical.
“Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Montreal.”
