Several incidents were dealt with by firefighters across the Horsham district over the weekend due to the heavy rain and gusting wind.

Floodwater coming from a leak in a first floor flat entering ground floor flat.

Around one metre of fencing blown on to footpath - fencing removed and remaining fencing resecured.
Outside a pub in High Street, Storrington -
Severe flooding outside building - one electric pump and 1 main pump used by firefighters - flood barriers adjacent to river cleared to allow water to flow clearly.
Potters Green, Cowfold -
Floodwater in road and threatening houses - water pumped using portable pump and submersible pump.
On Sunday.
House in Brighton Road, Woodmancote -
Driveway of house flooded and water entering basement - water pumped from driveway using main pump and submersible pump.
House in Heron Way, Horsham -
Flooding to house due to leaking roof - salvage carried out by firefighters using ladders and flood equipment.
Shaves Wood Lane, Albourne -
Total of nine trees resting on telephone cables - road closed by police.
