Less than an hour into the planned firefighters strikes this afternoon (Wednesday September 25), a crew has been called to a home in Slinfold.
Firefighters are still responding to calls today despite the industrial action which has led to a reduction in services from West Sussex Fire and Rescue.
The crew responded to a report of an fire alarm that went off at a home in the village.
Richard Davy, Horsham station commander, stressed: “If lives need to be saved, we will save lives.”
