RESCUE teams attended two incidents of animals becoming stuck at the weekend.
Firefighters were called to assist the RSPCA in retrieving a cat trapped 20 foot up a tree in Eversfield, Southwater.
Crew spent nearly two hours in the early evening of Friday January 20 attempting to fish the feline to safety.
The cat was home shortly after 6.30pm.
On Sunday January 22 a cow fell into a water-logged ditch off Old Crawley Road in Horsham.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service arrived on the scene just after 4.30pm and lifted the cow using a winch.
The animal was left with a vet.
