Drivers around the Gatwick and Crawley areas may experience problems following a serious accident on the M25 this afternoon (Friday August 16).
The M25 is closed and there is stationary traffic clockwise between junction ten, the A3 (Wisley Interchange) and junction 11, A317 (Chertsey).
However, this will obviously create delays and possible diversions further along.
Drivers are advised to check their route if they are in the area.
Tailbacks are around ten miles long at the moment.
Gatwick Airport has posted a warning for anyone flying to allow extra time to get to the airport.
