A 25-year-old man has been charged with theft of a car after a pursuit across West Sussex on Saturday night (June 8).
Matthew Hall, 25 from Beach Road, Southsea in Hampshire has been charged with burglary, dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. He will appear at Worthing Magistrates Court today (June 10).
Just after 8pm, car keys for a VW Passat were stolen from Steyning Sports Centre in Horsham, and the offenders fled in the car. The car was eventually stopped in Hampshire near Emsworth by Hampshire Police officers.
One suspect is still outstanding and police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the second suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 1434 of 8/6.
