A 22-year-old Brighton man has been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious injuries after the silver Vauxhall car he was driving collided with pub fencing in Henfield on Saturday May 25.
Police and emergency services including West Sussex Fire and Rescue were called to the A281 junction with Muddleswood Road, Albourne at around 6.35am following reports that a car had collided with fencing around The Ginger Fox pub.
PC Chris Welsh from Road Police Unit said: “The road was closed for several hours whilst forensic investigators carried out work at the scene and the driver was medically removed from the car.T
“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to police to please call 101 quoting Op Maine or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk.”
