Passengers can expect further delays on the railways through Horsham and Crawley today (Friday) due to a person being hit by a train at Hilsea.
Services are already running behind scheduled after a fire alarm at Three Bridges this morning. Trains are running up to 80 minutes late after the signalling centre had to be evacuated.
Staff are now back in the building, but Southern Railway is warning delays could continue until 3pm while the service recovers from this morning’s disruption.
Following the incident at Hilsea at just before 11am, services to and from Portsmouth, some of which travels through the Horsham district will be subject to delays.
