Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Newdigate, just across the border in Surrey, earlier today (Saturday April 20).
The collision took place just after 1pm in Henfold Lane and involved a group of up to 11 motorcycles, two of which were involved in a collision with a blue Nissan Navara pick-up truck.
One of the riders sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another motorcyclist was taken to East Surrey Hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
The road is currently closed in both directions at the junction with Mill Road and the junction with Village Street while emergency services deal with the incident, and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
