A bomb disposal unit was called to a Southwater home after someone found a WWII incendiary device in their garage (Wednesday April 3).
Sussex Police called bomb specialists to investigate the cartridge, which was around a foot long, found in Warren Drive just before mid-day.
The unit deemed the item ‘spent’ and no controlled explosion was required.
